Day 14 of our trip

We started the day off by just relaxing and slowly getting ready. We were a little tired and the kids wanted to sleep in. We left Lake George around 10 and drove down to NYC. Our final stop was at my Uncle Trace's place in Manhattan. We parked our car in Jersey and took the subway over to Manhattan. This was the first time that the kids had been on the subway- they thought it was so cool.

Garron and Lacey on the subway. Garron is Sooo Excited!!
Kaylie, Trenton, and I on the subway. Trenton was so excited to carry the Metro card.

We finally reached Trace's Apartment around 4pm. We unpacked our things, played with his dog Tank, and then headed out for a night in the Big Apple. Trace took us down to China Town and we ate at a phenomenal Vietnamese Restaurant. Afterwards, we walked around China Town to see all the shops and vendors. I was shocked to see so many places were closed down and signs posted everywhere saying that these places were shut down due to police operations. But the kids thought it was neat just seeing all the tall buildings around us. As it started getting late, we headed back to Trace's Place and had to stop across the street at the ice cream place for ice cream... it was sooo good.

These are pictures that Kaylie took from Trace's Apartment. This is the Empire State Building. She also thought that the steam coming from the man holes were neat...
Another picture from Trace's Apartment of the Empire State Building in the day.
